this is a sad commentary on the insensitivity of some people.
regardless of whose death it is or the circumstances or who you are, death is nothing to joke about and is always sad and tragic. the suddenness and tragedy of ryan dunn’s death is not lost on anyone and no one needs roger ebert to chime in and point out the potential cause of his death let alone joke about it. sadly, thousands of people die as a result of drunk driving and the fact that this happened to someone who spent his adult life in the public eye doesn’t give anyone freedom to comment on it. stick to criticizing movies and not people roger ebert and have some respect for the deceased and their grieving families!
